Safeguarding Policy

Kilrea Golf Club Safeguarding Children and Young People Policy

Our club is committed to ensuring that the safety, welfare and well-being of children is maintained at all times during their participation in activities run by the club and its member bodies.

We aim to promote a safe environment for all children and to assist all staff, officials, coaches, members and volunteers to recognise child abuse and neglect and follow the appropriate notification procedures when reporting alleged abuse.

Those working reguarly with juniors are AccessNI checked and attend regular Safeguarding workshops..

The club has two designated Safeguarding Officers who also attend the required Safeguarding workshops:

Club Children's Officer - Mr Martin McGrath

Designated Liaison Person - Mr Conor McAllister

Copies of our Safeguarding and Young People Policy containing various Codes of Behaviour are available in the club.  All members under the age of 18 have been given a copy.

Guidelines for Reporting Incidents are clearly posted throughout the club and if anyone wishes to report an incident he/she should follow the procedures outlined.

We at Kilrea Golf Club aim to promote the participation of children in our club by creating a culture of safety and fun.
